Julie Li

Project Scientist, Bioengineering, UC San Diego

Dr. Julie Li is a Project Scientist at Department of Bioengineering at UCSD. After receiving her Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from The Ohio State University, she joined the Bioengineering Department to study the hemodymanic regulation of vascular cell functions. Dr. Li’s research interests focus on the investigation of the mechanisms for transcriptional and posttranscriptional regulation of gene expression in vascular cells under mechanical stimuli. Recent collaborations with multiple PIs in the department, Dr. Li is exploring the cellular responses at the level of imaging single cell dynamics, as well as at the level of genome-wide gene profile analyses with the aim to understand the vascular homeostasis.
