Kenneth J. Loh

Associate Professor, Structural Engineering, UC San Diego

Loh is an associate professor in Structural Engineering and joined UC San Diego in January of 2016. He was at UC Davis for the past seven years. His research is in the area of multifunctional materials. The mission of his lab is to design, scale-up, and implement materials engineered with multiple functionalities, namely for sensing, actuation, energy harvesting, etc. A portion of Loh's research profile is devoted to developing such materials and fabric-based sensors for biomedical- and healthcare-types of structures and applications.
