Annually the J. Yang Family and Foundation will provide $300,000 to underwrite a network of bilateral programs, including graduate and undergraduate scholarships, summer research internships, travel awards and an annual bilateral symposium. UC San Diego is committed to a 100% match for cost sharing these awards.
Graduate Scholarships and support
The J Yang Family and Foundation provides graduate scholarship incentives to increase the number of Taiwanese students pursuing graduate study at UC San Diego.
Candidates for the New Graduate Student Scholarship opportunity will be identified through the application process to graduate programs at UC San Diego.
Undergraduate Research Programs
Since 2008, UCSD has offered a special study abroad option of UC San Diego Global Seminars, which are five week summer programs taught by UCSD faculty in different countries around the world.
Faculty Exchange Program
Each year a pool of funds will support travel and residencies in Taiwan for UC San Diego faculty. The PIs and faculty steering committee will circulate an annual call to announce the availability of funding.
