Edmund Capparelli

Dr. Capparelli’s research is focused on clinical pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic and disease modeling in pediatric populations using population methods. He leads a NIH supported Center for Research in Pediatric and Developmental Pharmacology and a specialized pharmacology laboratory for its pediatric HIV (IMPAACT) Network. His clinical research expertise is widely recognized, as evidenced by his service to the following groups in this past year: (1) World Health Organization (WHO) Pediatric Antiretroviral Dosing Working Group; (2) Pediatric Antiretroviral Guidelines Working Group, US Department of Health and Human Services; (3) Drugs for Neglected Disease initiative (DNDI); and (4) FDA Clinical Pharmacology Advisory Committee.
