Dr. Francisco Contijoch is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Bioengineering and Radiology at UC San Diego, specializing in the development of translational cardiovascular imaging techniques. The primary focus of his research is developing imaging-based approaches to evaluate right ventricular and pulmonary vascular disease. He currently serves as a principal investigator of a career development award which aims to improve prediction of right ventricular failure after implantation of a ventricular assist devices.
